Last time, Dave Powell discussed information architecture. This week, Dave will explain a term used in Knowledge Management. The term is ‘value proposition.’

Mary Kay: Hi Dave, so tell us about ‘value proposition.’

David Powell: A value proposition is a business or marketing statement that summarizes why a consumer should buy a product or use a service. This statement should convince a potential consumer that one particular product or service brings more value, or better solves a problem than other, similar offerings.

Mary Kay Lofurno: Thanks for that great explanation Dave. We use the concept of value proposition all the time in marketing. Have a great afternoon.

David Powell: You too, Mary Kay. Talk with you soon!
