Announcer: The e-Learning Lingo Podcast.

Mary Kay Lofurno: Hello, this is Mary Kay Lofurno, Marketing Director here at SyberWorks. Welcome to the 102nd episode of the e-Learning Lingo Podcast Series. Last week Dave Powell talked about Venn Diagrams. This week Dave defines Teleconferencing.

So I ask you, do you know your e-Learning Lingo?

[theme music]

Mary Kay: Hi, Dave, tell us about teleconferencing.

Dave Powell: Teleconferencing is a two-way electronic communication, normally between groups in separate locations who exchange audio, video, and computer information in real time.

Mary Kay: Interesting. What types of teleconferencing could our listeners consider using in their own organizations?

Dave: Teleconferencing comes in many forms. Simple two- or three-way telephone or video calls, larger conference calls, or even online web-conferencing, which can include instant messaging, chats, video links, and document sharing.

Mary Kay: Thanks, Dave. Have a great afternoon.

Dave: You too, Mary Kay. Talk to you soon.

Mary Kay: This is Mary Kay Lofurno, Marketing Director at SyberWorks. Thanks for listening to Episode 102 of the e-Learning Lingo Podcast. This week Dave Powell talked about teleconferencing. The Episode 102 podcast audio and transcript will be posted on the e-Learning Lingo Podcast blog.

Next time on the e-Leaning Lingo Podcast, we’ll talk about a term used in computer networking and security. Until that time, have a great week.
